Medical emergency scene call, possible cardiac arrest, now return of spontaneous circulation (ROSC).
I was one of the ground medics from the valley that responded up to the national park to assist Park Police, also responding to a reported cardiac arrest. Upon the arrival of Park Police (dual certified as EMTs) patient was semi-responsive, breathing. Due to reports of possible previous cardiac arrest, UVA Pegasus medevac was called before my arrival. I arrived on the scene a few minutes before the helicopter did (we have a 40+ ETA to this part of the park from the valley).
